Next Update for Fusion is Planned for Monday January 29, 2024

The next Autodesk® Fusion® software update is scheduled to be released on Monday, January 29, 2024 on or around 6:30pm Pacific time. This update is required for your students to maintain file compatibility.

IMPORTANT: Legacy operating systems including Win 8/8.1, Win 10 build 1803 or older, and MacOS 10.15 Catalina and below are no longer be supported. While old versions of Fusion will continue to work on these operation systems until January 2024, to access the most recent Fusion updates a minimum OS of macOS 11 Big Sur and Windows 10 (1809) or newer is required. By today, January 16, 2024, any old version of Fusion running on the non-supported operating systems will stop working.

If you are impacted by unsupported operating systems, we recommend accessing the online version of Fusion which can be accessed through a web browser. Learn more.

Windows users:
Auto-Download for Windows users only – a time-saving process for updating Fusion Lab Installations.

To ensure your lab version is consistent with the latest version available on students’ personal devices you now have the option to set up Auto-Downloads. Auto-Downloads for Fusion automate the recurring ~8 weeks update process. Learn more about the benefits of Auto-Downloads for Windows users and the set-up instructions here - see section 6 (page 14).

Alternatively, you can manually update Fusion in your computer lab(s). You can prepare ahead of the release date. Open the text file and copy the text in the file and save with the name “FusionLabInstall.bat" into the same folder/directory as your Fusion Lab Install File. When the update becomes available, you will download a new Fusion Lab Install File into the same directory, and install it by executing the .bat file.

I'll post a new message when the update is available.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
