Next Update for Fusion 360 is Planned for Monday July 24, 2023

The next Autodesk® Fusion 360® software update is scheduled to be released on Monday, July 24, 2023, on or around 6:30pm Pacific time. This update is required for your students to maintain file compatibility.

Starting with Fusion 360's April 3, 2023 update; when signing in Fusion 360, you will be taken to a separate web browser to continue the log-in process. To ensure that your students and educators can sign into Fusion 360, please confirm that the URLs in the Ports and Domains article are added to your school's list of allowed of URLs / sites. For administrators deploying Fusion 360 version 2.0.15775 or higher, Autodesk recommends installing the latest Autodesk Identity Manager Component.

Important:  Fusion 360 has upgraded services for better scalability and performance. These changes will require lab computers to be updated to this latest release available on Monday, July 24, 2023. We strongly recommend that all lab computers install this update.

Windows users:
NEW: Auto-Download for Windows users only – a time-saving process for updating Fusion Lab Installations.

To ensure your lab version is consistent with the latest version available on students’ personal devices you now have the option to set up Auto-Downloads. Auto-Downloads for Fusion 360 automate the recurring ~8 weeks update process. Learn more about the benefits of Auto-Downloads for Windows users and the set-up instructions here - see section 6 (page 14).

Alternatively, you can manually update Fusion 360 in your computer lab(s). You can prepare ahead of the release date. Open the text file and copy the text in the file and save with the name “FusionLabInstall.bat" into the same folder/directory as your Fusion Lab Install File. When the update becomes available, you will download a new Fusion Lab Install File into the same directory, and install it by executing the .bat file.

I'll post a new message when the update is available.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

-Dan
