Enter the Autodesk-sponsored XRC Sustainability Innovations Ocean Cleanup Competition!
Autodesk and ASME are encouraging purpose-driven young innovators to turn the tide on ocean pollution with the Extended Reality Challenge (XRC): Sustainability Innovations Ocean Cleanup Competition. Undergraduates, graduate students, and early career engineers can learn about sustainability and current global issues while applying their Industry 4.0 CAD skills to help clean the world’s waters.
Teams will use Autodesk Fusion software to design fully autonomous robots that collect trash from the ocean. Robots will compete live in a HyperSkill virtual test environment to gather as much trash as possible within three minutes. Winning teams can earn up to $1,600 in cash prizes.
The final races will be live-streamed as part of E-Fest Digital on March 16, 2024.
Encourage your students to dive into ocean cleanup through this virtual reality competition. Additional details are available on the ASME website.
