I am trying to design a Cardiovascular Stent having an auxetic geometry. But I am unable to incorporate the design into a tubular structure. Can someone help me out with this.

This is the final geometry that I am looking to create.

This geometry would be the unit cell.

Hi @roy.priyanshughost

Have you tried the Volumetric Lattice tool found under the Modify menu, or the Geometric Pattern tool found under the Plastics tab.

For both of these tools, you will need to turn on the Product Design Extension. Autodesk Educations accounts can access the Extensions for free by doing the following:

  1. On the top-right side of the screen click Extensions

  1. In the Extension Manager dialog box, click on the desired Extension

  1. Click on Start Access

  1. Note: The Extension will need to be renewed every 30 days (follow the same process)

Keep us posted.

Thank you Mr. Dan. I have used the sheet metal unfolding route, firstly developing a cylinder and then sketching the geometry onto the unfolded plane. But, the volumetric lattice tool seems to be very handy and I shall use it in my subsequent projects.
