Can you tell us more about why you need to determine the Tangent Plane while creating Manual Contacts?

Hi @101210303 

Thanks for the additional information. I'll ask our Simulation team for advice on how to set up this type of simulation.

 

Could you Export a .f3d file and attach it to this thread?

Hi @101210303 

I connected with our Simulation team and they also asked for the .f3d file. The team gave me the attached image that may help. Also stated "For spur gears (probably similar for helical ones), the contact force is always directed in the same direction, regardless of how many teeth are in contact."
