Cannot exit and restart frozen Fusion 360 ONLINE session

The students in my class are using Fusion Online. One of my students had Fusion become unresponsive during class yesterday. They could hover over item with the mouse cursor, but could not select, so they were unable to close anything other than the browser window.  They signed out of Autodesk, cleared their cache and cookies, and let it sit for a day, but when they tried to sign in again today, it loaded the same frozen session.  I am looking for a solution to close out the frozen session and restart.

Hi @hutchinsone45MA3

Thanks for letting us know about this issue. What you're experiencing is not the anticipated outcome. The system is designed to delete the session after 20 minutes of no activity. I reported this to the team and they are looking into it. I'll keep you posted.

Dan,
Thanks for your response. His session did end and allow him to restart
yesterday after approximately 48 hours. Unfortunately it immediately froze
again when he attempted to open the drawing file he had been using. The
student was not in class today, so I was not able to check and see if his
latest frozen session was closed.

@hutchinsone45MA3

Thanks for the additional information. We recommend clearing the cache and updating the video drivers. I know you cleared the cache, can you ask your student to update his drivers. For others reading this post, here are links for how to clear the cache and update drivers.

  1. Clear the cache on a Chromebook
  2. Update graphics and system drivers on a Chromebook

Please let us posted.

Hi @hutchinsone45MA3

Is Fusion 360 online running OK this week?

Thanks,

We have had a few issues requiring restarting, but it seems to be allowing
us to do that now.

Having a similar issue with my teaching PC not on a student chrome book. My fusion 360 online is frozen mid drawing, I cannot click anything on the screen. I've logged out of autodesk on another tab, restarted the fusion tab, restarted chrome, restarted the computer, logged in on a different computer, each time I go to fusion.online.autodesk.com it opens immediately to the frozen drawing.

Hi @spope0884 When you say mid drawing, you are able to get Fusion Online to launch? By drawing do you mean creating a sketch, or creating a 2D print?

Thanks,

Kevin

I was teaching a very basic drawing: seven simple cubes as separate components making a larger shape. I opened a drawing file to add the cubes to a title block. Changed the blocks to be shaded and everything froze.

Can you share a link to that file or attach it here? I would like to try to reproduce what you did to see if I can replicate your issue.

It seems as though its the server on your end that is freezing. After about an hour I was able to partially get back into fusion. I couldn't load of any of my titleblocks.

Hi @spope0884 I just ran several tests and couldn't replicate what happened to you. Does this happen every time you try it?

Thanks,
Kevin
