beginner question: how do you make a varying complex curve? pictures in description

I'm modeling this saw handle for practice and I'm trying to replicate the curve in the handle (like the inner curve)10-in-dt-qs-cherry-006.jpg

here is the model I have, am I on the right track with the sculpting feature?

Hi @yinyangrex

This a a great design example to try to replicate. A couple thoughts and ideas.

  1. I like the approach of using surfaces to remove geometry. Ensure that the surface fully encompasses the geometry you want to remove.
  2. You could also try to loft between two profiles. Then you remove material by extruding profile and adding fillets and chamfers.

Do other have more ideas?

Thanks,

-Dan
