Active Subscription but Fusion 360 says that it has expired and needs to be renewed

Hi,

I'm hoping that someone can help here. I currently have an active subscription (taken out in August this year) but have been unable to access Fusion360 at all because it states that the subscription has expired. The education landing page states that it's valid through September 2024. I have and active ticket open for this but response has been patchy and unhelpful at best. As far as I can tell from trying to work out myself it appears to be an issue with my account, even the web based Fusion360 says I have the wrong account type, yet when I look at which account types are eligible I'm pretty sure that mine is covered there.
Would there be anyone from Autodesk that could take a look at my account for me? So far the the first half of term has been wasted trying to resolve this and we were wanting to look at Fusion360 as being a good step up from Tinkercad without going full Autocad which we determined would be too complicated for secondary students.

Thanks in advance,

Rob.

Hi @rcaulfield

Your Autodesk Education profile is set to IT Admin, hence why you can't sign into Fusion.   What is your role at your school?

Here are the definitions of the Education profile roles.

  • Student: Can only acquire individual licenses.
  • Educator: Can acquire individual licenses and assign their students' licenses.
  • IT Admin: Can only acquire licenses for their school (no individual licenses).

If you need to sign into Fusion, you can create a second Autodesk Education account and set the role to Educator.

Or an educator in your school can assign you a license. Refer to page 7 - 14 in the Fusion 360 Educator Guide

Please keep us posted.

Thanks for your reply Dan. Someone from AD Customer services contacted me and explained the same late last week I think it was, he also mentioned that as an admin you get 1 month of usage to be able to configure the lab. This made sense and now we've worked everything out and are up and running.

All the best,

Rob.
