Z axis up

I am not able to get Z up.  I've selected it in my preferences, but that doesn't influence my workspace.

I think what problem is that

everything is drawn correct, but the view is showing Y up. yes we can set the view cube to new home view, but then we click reset it Home View, it will again back to original view the model was designed in.

do can we permanently change the view?

Is there a way I can make Y Up back but only for specific documents? This would make importing from other CADs a bunch easier. There doesn't seem to be any project/file specific option to checkbox

It's a bit crazy that 7 years later, one still cannot change Y axis up/down to Z axis up/down after a design has been created. I know, I know, I can change it in CAM, but it's a pain to start clicking little arrow heads to get the orientation correct after the fact. And I know, I know, that I can still work fine with the Y up, but it makes no sense to my pea brain to work this way. I want to see the blue line vertical when my parts are on a flat surface.

Again, it's crazy that I can't change this. I yes, I have the Z up set in preferences, but I have an assistant who made a bunch of files with his default set to Y up and now we're stuck with it.

The only sensible thing to be done, provided it's not a massive assembly with 1000 sub-assemblies, is to create a new design with Z up and insert whatever doohickeys you want into the new design and orient it how you like. I was pulling my hair out thinking that there must be a way to do it in Fusion 360 with a click. Surely, there must be...

Anyone?
