Yet another "Failed to get owner occurrence transform"

I read a handful of other post on this error but none seem to exactly match the problem I'm having my model.

I'm working on a sub-component (with it's own subcomponents) that I saved out of a larger project (planning to re-import as a linked component).  I had to convert the 3D projections from the parent object this was saved out of to a DM feature, but there's no obvious indication that's the source of the bug.

The bug:  While I can work on the main component (light housing/divider for automobile warning lenses) without an issue, when I turn to create sketches or anything in a sub component that's based on the main component, I get the  "Failed to get owner occurrence transform" error.  Each lens is a component.  Working on the *middle lenses* component I needed to set up a sketch on the upper middle backplane.  Usually I start with a new plane for the sketch.  When I tried to create the plane on the face I got the aforementioned error.  When I try to create a plane from one of the construction planes of the main component I get the same error.  I managed to create "Middle_Lens_Back_Plane by figuring out the distance from that face surface to an origin plane, then making a plane off of that origin plane.  Only THEN would creating a sketch on that new plane not give me the error above.  The problem is I need to project some geometry into that sketch, and no matter how I try to do it, whether it be face, corner, point, body, or even include 3D projection, I get the same error and my sketch yellows out with nothing projected.

I might be able to kluge my way around all this, including just working on the object in the much larger assembly, but I'd rather not.

You have errors in the sketch that is part of the base feature.  no idea about how that happened.  if you unlink everything in that sketch (and it's in a base feature so you might as well) the errors will clear.  the rest of the errors (the one you are reporting on and the last sketch that is in a error state) seem to be propagating from the errors in the base feature sketch.

I just created a new subcomponent under Warning_Light_Lenses and was able to create a sketch using the Divider top face.

I would recommend creating components out of the Divider and Lower_Divider bodies.

Sorry for the late thank-you all.  And thank you for taking a look at my file & responding.  Yes going into the DM component, and editing the sketch to break the link was a great solution. I didn't think to look back into the base feature.  De-linking worked well.  And as I've gone ahead and made additional bodies, creating components from them is the next item to-do.   I definitely learned something, especially from the video which also led me to learning this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHVH6KxpDfs (Componet color swatch).  *New toy.*  Thanks again Laughingcreek, Alex, and ETFrench for being helpful forum group members!
