WRONG model size after extrude

Hello folks,

I have problem with model sizes after extrude model from sketch.

Example: I draw 878.8 x 484.2mm rectangle. Then extrude 0.6mm and when I measure the dimension in (all decimals) I got 878.7999999999999545 x 484.1999999999999318 mm. Why is this happening? How to solve this?

Thanks for answers.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Thanks for answer.

Yes, I can. Each time I draw a new rectangle and extrud I got different dimensions after the decimal point, But still, it’s never an integer.

The biggest problem in preparing a part for folding is because all the walls come in different thicknesses and fusion 360 not understand.

you're right, it doesn't work that way, when everyone knows that the answer to all questions is 42.
Just next to it is over even if it is a few trillionths of a millimeter. greetings mango
I'm curious about the answers.

Why not model in finished form and let Fusion generate the Flat Pattern for you?

What are you attempting to model?

More information is needed.

Here’s the problem that fusion 360 doesn’t make a mat. because the dimensions run through the errors and don’t unbend the mat. Anyway, I don't understand why it doesn't allow you to make models with integers. I understand that this is not a big mistake, but I would dont want such errors when drawing a device. And extruding the model should not change the dimensions by itself 😞

Attach another model. All surfaces of different thicknesses... I tried to put a sketch on the surface and then hide the model for new extrude out the new part (2mm) but I still get 2,00xxxxx or 1,99xxxxx

Please take a look at your preferences and use - as is usually the case in the technical area - no more than 3 digits after the comma.

This part is modeled incorrectly.

Where is your history?

Since there is no history - I will have to remodel the part from scratch.

When I remodel it - it will work fine.

Are you sure about this?
