Not that it matters, but this is woodworking. Also, I am SOMEWHAT new to fusion 360. 15 years in SolidWorks. Made the switch to Fusion 360 for my business venture.
I have an assembly that I have modeled, I then Derived out the assembly components to all the individual components in their own folder which I lay out manually onto a fixture plate that I then machine. I then add in-context features to the fixture plate which I then machine. Everything went well and any edits to the assembly can be made through Change Parameters to adjust every single dimension on the fly. I set this up with the intention of proofing out a single product and then worrying about copying this design, altering a few dimensions in the assembly and being able to reuse the fixture plate so I don't have to lay things out and model the features into the fixture plate again.
Can I use my current workflow to accomplish this? If not, is there a workflow that will allow my to do this?
In SolidWorks I would have used configurations for the assembly, components, and the fixture plate and then copied the configurations and updated the configuration to point to the matching configuration. But that is irrelevant here as Fusion doesn't appear to support configurations.
