Will not generate base view for drawing

NEW TO FUSION:  I have the latest version of Fusion for personal use and cannot generate drawings from a model.  When I get to the ‘Place base view” section all that is generated is a thick blue highlighted line.  I have tried this on my PC (running a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card) and My Mac Airbook  (M4 Silicon).  Suggestions?

It could be that your Drawing View Scale is set so low that your initial view, Front, look like a single line.  Up the view scale or place another view.

Thanks for the response. I assume you are referring to the 'Scale'
input section in the second window in the create drawing section. I have
that set to "1:1". Changing that only changes the size of the line.

Please attach a screen capture of what you are seeing in the Drawing view

Also, try and change your Graphics Driver, in your Preferences, to DirectX 11.

You have not posted a screen capture of what you are seeing so my last suggestion of changing your Graphics Driver must have solved your issue.  If so, please mark my post as the "Accepted Solution".  If you are still having issues, post your screen capture to show what you are seeing.

I thought I had alreaedy posted teh screen shot but I will drop it into the box below.  I tried switchong the graphics driver to DirectX 11.  That did not change the behavior.  Sorry about the screenshot... it captured all three of my screens and would not allow a box selection.

You cannot add images from your phone, you must return to the web.  The best method is to use the "insert image" icon at the top of the reply dialog box.  Please try again.

I just caucht the "Projected View" selection on your animated response and got a drawing generated.  Now could you tell me how to have it scalled to 1:1 actual size.  I have that option selected.  (Your animation is so fast it is hard to follow 🙂

It looks normal.  You are showing an "edge on view" at a scale factor of 1:2.  Right click on the view you are showing and choose "Projected View" from the context menu.  My view loos very similar at that scale and view.

You scale your drawing views using the Drawing View dialog box.  Select the scale from the list or type it in.

Thanks... got it. I still get the original line displayed after selecting
'projected view'. I can't seem to select and delete it from the drawing.

Your base view is the Front which is the edge view of your model.  You cannot delete the Base view of a drawing.  Select a different view, from the dialog box as your base view if you do not want the edge view.
