Why I cannot paste body to project?

I'm trying to copy and paste body from "Fan base" project to "Circular duct" project (see attachment). I can paste that body into other projects, but when I trying to insert into "Circular duct" nothing happens, no new body appears, but "Paste" changing to "Repeat Paste". Is this a bug or as always some special steps required?

Hi @wintarif ,

Maybe this will help you understand how to copy body works: https://youtu.be/UJqV_JT0Ll8

IF you want to copy a body to another file, then you can use Derive tool.

Cheers / Ben

There is only 1 body and no components in each project, only root node have option to make it active/inactive. Your solution doesn't helps, it works in any other projects except one I uploaded.

May I ask what do you mean by "Project"? Do you mean a design file?

Yes. I call it "project" like any project in Visual Studio (except there "solutions") or Delphi.

First, you must use the correct terminology, Fusion is not Visual Studio! "Project" in Fusion means something else.
If you want to copy a body to another file, then there are several ways to do that:
1. You can use the Derive tool to import/export a body (recommended).
2. Export the component which the body belongs too, and import the component to where you want it (don't forget to break the link).

But "file" also wrong terminology because in file systems copying something from one file to another means something else (and there 3 files per one whatever - xx, png and f3d). I'll google for "Derive".

In Fusion, Files exist inside a Project. You can also create Folders inside a Project in order to create a better structure for all the files.
For example, I have a project called "Test" and inside it, I keep all the tests that I do that are not related to any specific assembly. I also have a Project called "YouTube Files" with Folders as well, where all the files that I use in my videos are stored there.
