Why does my https://accounts.autodesk.com/Profile keep changing my last name?

I'm 12 days into my 30 day trial of Fusion 360 and have been trying to work with it at least a few hours daily.

 

At the top left corner of the Fusion 360 screen it shows my name along with a drop down menu. Currently at home on a Mac. My name is also shown on the top left when I open the data panel.

 

Anyway in my profile at https://accounts.autodesk.com/Profile I put in my first and last name, John Pahl and then click Save Profile.

For some reason later on down the road it will start showing my name in Fusion 360 as just John P in the top corners and with all my saved projects.

 

I go back to the profile page and see my last name has changed from Pahl to just a P and I have no idea why it keeps doing this.

 

Not a big deal, but it's just one of them little things that is driving me nuts ha. Sometimes it change in the same day and sometime it changes the next day or so.

 

Is it something I"m doing wrong or what?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Fusion 360 community!

 

I am not certain of the exact cause of the issue. However, I note that in our support case tracking system, your name was given as "John P." This may have had something to do with you seeing your name change. I have since edited your name to "John Pahl." Could you check to see if everything is displayed correctly?

Thanks for looking into it and changing it for me. 

 

It still was not displayed correctly, so I signed out and closed Fusion 360. Then opened it back up and signed in again and it still was not displayed correctly.

 

So once again I clicked on the drop down menu under my name in the top right corner and click on "My Profile".

From there I edited my profile name from John P back to John Pahl. It then displayed correctly in Fusion 360 again.

 

Guess will see if it stays this time or changes again on it's own.

I have the same issue, and for the life of me I can't find any way to fix it. In the data panel of F360 I'm named by my first name twice, so it says "Oyvind Oyvind". Looks stupid, and I can't understand why it says that. I'd prefer it to be my username instead (not first and last name).

 

Why can't this at least be one of the fields that we can edit ourselves?

I just tried to do the same thing that I had done for John, however your name already appears correctly in our support case tracking system. For this reason, I have created a support case for you with our accounts team to see what they can do about getting your name to appear correctly in Fusion 360.

Hi,

I'm having a similar issue. On the A360 Drive website and mobile app, my account name is "Verc Construtora", but this is the name of the company I work. Sometimes when I enter on the Account Management, my name is right "Bruno Giacomini", but most of the time "Verc Construtora". I tried to change it many times, but it keeps changing itself. What can I do fix it? It´s a little detail, but it would be nice see my name right on the platforms.

I just tried to do the same thing for John, and it looks like someone had already done that for you when you had posted on Sunday. Could you check to see if your name is appearing properly now? If not, let me know and I will create a case with our accounts team for you to get that squared away.
