I am running into this problem repeatedly.  I want copy a sketch feature and I can't select the item to copy it.  See the attached video.  Any help would be appreciated.

That is expected behaviour, (to the rest of us,)

you are already aware that it is Projected Geometry.

You have a few options, yours it not one of them...

Use the Inspect Tool, on both items and compare the results.

Go to the original curve (in the appropriate sketch) and Copy it,

come back to this sketch, Paste and Align it.

Or you will have to Break Link, to proceed with your intent.

Cant help with the rotating - other than to uncheck the sketching Look At Option, in preferences, I think I turned it off on my first day in Fusion.  Look At still works as a command in the sketch pallette, when I want it.

Might help....

As @davebYYPCU says: This is projected geometry.  In other words, it has an inflexible relationship with the object it was projected from.  You can use the Copy command to make a copy of projected geometry, then use the Paste command to put the copy in the current activated sketch.  The Paste dialogue also allows you to move the copy.

Another way to move projected geometry is to move the original.

Hi Etfrench,

Thank you for your response. I did what you suggested, I used the copy command to copy and paste in the sketch object I wanted to copy and then I was able to copy and move it.

Best regards,

Vincent
