You can see if I start a line on the origin, then the line doesn't show up. If I continue drawing they turn into dotted construction lines that immediately disappear. If I contine after that, I will finally get a line. Even though it doesn't draw the line or the construction line, it still leaves a point behind on the axis.
If I start a line off of the axis, then I get the expected result, a new line appears every time I click.
