When orbiting the view while zoomed in, model leaves frame of view.

I learned on Inventor and used it for several years before beginning to migrate to Fusion. On Inventor, if I am zoomed in on a part feature and I, then, orbit with the spacemouse or cube, the model takes off out of view and I have to track it down and get it where I can see it. This does not happen in Inventor or Solidworks or any other CAM software I have used. In these other CAD programs, the model will orbit around the feature I am zoomed in on.

Is there any way to make it not behave this way? Is there a setting I do not know about that keeps the model in my view when I rotate?

is the model a mesh or solid?

I've experienced this as well. However. I've since discovered that such things happen much less when I work in orthographic, rather than in perspective view mode.

Another quick tip: Double clicking the center mouse wheel will bring it back to center on the screen. Learned that here.

Just to add to the mix-the pivot point is set differently when using the spacemouse vs the view cube or mouse.  The space mouse automatically puts the pivot on the geometry that is closes to the center of the screen, and resets it between moves.  using the view cube just uses the center of the screen (is is more prone to the behavior you describe.) and the mouse behaviour is covered in one of the previous posts.

which method are you using that is giving you trouble?

I think you are using the SolidWorks navigation style? I notice that the view pivot is not updating as it does when using the Fusion navigation setting. I'll report this to the dev team.
