Goal:
1. Sharing an interactive Fusion360 design on the web (read-only)
2. Sharing an interactive Fusion360 design on the web (limited read-write through User Parameters)

Why:
1. The web is now the dominent platform to publicly share information. It is pervalent, OS agnostic, powerful and require no additional software installation on the destination device. If a web widget is available, a Fusion 360 design can be shared in its full glory to the widest possible audiance.
2. Ability to modify the design through User Parameters would allow dynamic and interactive modification to enable customized products, and also powerful end-user feedback to a design.

Example use cases:
1. Detail product information
2. Architect sharing a design of a proposed building, allowing certain User Parameter modification so that the user can compare between different variants of design (say, the ceiling height being a modifiable User Parameter).
3. A furniture company building custom parametric furniture will be able to allow an user to modify the exact dimensions (through approved User Parameters), visualize the result, and in the backend connect to the CAM portion of Fusion 360 and automatically build the furniture.

Additional requirements:
1. Friendly to mobile web, in particular current Android and iOS
2. Call back/hook up to a script to validate the combinations of provided User Parameters (for example the user parameter Length must not be more than 2 times Width, and the Width cannot be more than 0.9m)

I was not clear in the original idea submission. The web widger is to be an *embeddable* widget that can be included in any third party website. For example, if a furniture designer has a shop website, he/she can embedd the Fusion 360 web widget into his/her own website so that the customers can visualize and customize the products.

@schneik-adsk does public link actually allows it to be *embedded* on an arbitrary third-party website?

Yes. Along the top of the public share dialog  is a tab for embedding.
