Wall and Windows

Hello!

I am designing some buildings for my model railway.

Now I am looking for a good workflow for walls and windows.

I create a wall and one window. The window consists of the window frame and the cutout in the wall.

When I place the window within an assembly and copy it in a pattern, this works perfectly for the positive elements (window frame), but not for the cutout in the wall. Is there a trick to copying the cutout as well?

You can use the same pattern for faces.

Create a positive volume body for the cutout in the window component. And then you can use the combine tool to subtract it form the wall. 

There is a very helpful free plugin available on the App store Cut/Join by Component that helps greatly with this workflow.
