Vertex Slide function like in Alias and a propper Edge slide function missing

Hello,

is there a similar Vertex slide function like in Alias in Fusion? I can not find anything similar.

Is there a reason why there isn't any in the sculpt mode?

And why is the Edge slide function starting in the center of a surface and not at the selected edge?

There is no vertex slide function in the T-Spline environment.

I cannot answer why the edge slide functiopn starts at 50%. I find that irrelevant.
