So I'm about to send out my design to be made but I want to check with you all to see if you have any pointers on what I have made.

Couple of things I'm struggling with are the spacing between the spacers (pins) and the slot. I now have a margin of .2mm.

Will this slide with for example anodizing III and lubricant?

thanks in advance for the help

Whether this mechanism will slide how you want it to depends not just on your CAD design but how you've toleranced the parts to fit (and how good of a fit you want/need). This is why people rely on things like linear rails and bearings which have been manufactured to a high tolerance and good fit when then want very smooth motion.

You could do some tolerance analysis (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSL3E0lKonA) to see what kind of gaps you can expect with you maximum and minimum tolerances and anodised surface. Things like shim washers can be used to compensate when you're assembling the parts.

I'd be tempted to simplify your design (Straight handle, simpler housing etc.) and have a prototype manufactured so you can feel the mechanism before adding the additional features. You could even design some kind of block that allows you to test a few slot configurations and sizes in one part to save costs.

Hope this helps!
