Unlinking components from circular patterns

Hi,

Is there a way to unlink components that were created via the circular pattern tool? I need cut those 4 holes out shown in the screengrab below only in the side that I have tried to extrude through.

Usually I would unfold the part and create the holes that way but I couldn't illustrate my point in the screengrab as well that way.

I have attached the .f3d file.

Thanks in advance.

Boundary Fill and then Convert to Sheet Metal are the two commands that will transform one side into a new component so your holes can be limited to one side.  You did not indicate if the holes were on the top or bottom ring but you can switch the objects cut by editing the extrusion.  Model attached.

Thanks for the help, that will work.

This seems like a bit of a workaround instead of a solution though. Is there a process that I have done earlier in the design that I may have done differently to end up with the desired result?

If your remember that a Pattern creates new components that are just like components created with Copy/Paste.  In this case, you can use Mirror instead of a pattern.  Mirror, unlike a pattern, creates a unique component.  Neither of these methods are "workarounds", they are design choices.  I have attached your model using the Mirror process.

Thank you for your help.

Apologies, workaround was probably the wrong choice of words.
