Hi @nstevelmans,

Can you tell us a little bit more about the environment you are working in. You said you tried the proxy solution, are you on a proxy network? It's kind of odd that it just randomly stopped working. I'm assuming this error comes up when launching Fusion 360 correct? Have you done anything different between when Fusion 360 was working and when the error started? Also, did the error just start today? The only reason I ask is we rolled out with an update last night so I am curious to see if that had anything to do with it.

Finally, when you said you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software did you only using the Control Panel uninstaller or make sure to follow our clean uninstall guide which has manual deletions of folders, etc.

Once I know a little bit more, hopefully we can narrow this down! Sorry that this happened, and thank you for your patience!

Thanks,

Can you manually collect the log files and post them here?

Application Log Files (for issues launching or operating Fusion 360):

Windows OS
C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<ID>\logs ... (look for all *.log files)

Mac OS
Macintosh HD/Users/<LOGIN>/LIbrary/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/<Custom ID>/logs ... (look for all *.log files)

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Hi,

for the last 2 days i have the same problem. I've uninstall Fusion several times (with the tutorial for clean uninstall of Autodesk Fusion 360). I've tried also

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fus...

Nothing seems to work for me. It is so frustrating i don't know what to do next. I just want to use the software and it seems that everytime i fix something (like the black screen in data panel) i get a new error. Before this error i got the "Unable to validate a security certificate". Now i get the "unexpected authentification error" when Fusion strat. Please Help.

Hi thanks for posting about this issue. From your description of the black data panel and the authentication error during log-in, I think it's likely you're experiencing some network connectivity issues. Are you running Fusion 360 in an office or on a school network?

Do you have the automatically detect settings option enabled for proxy discovery?

Mac OS
1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences
2. Select Network
3. Select the correct network (ethernet, wireles, airport, etc)
4. In the Proxies tab, enable/disable Auto Proxy Discovery
5. Apply changes and retest

Windows
1. Browse to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Internet Options
2. In the Connections tab, select LAN settings
3. Try to Enable/Disable automatically detect settings option
3. Apply the changes and retest.

If you're on Windows, it may be helpful to reset the Internet Options:

1. Clear the internet browser cache.
2. Browse to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Internet Option.
3. In the Advanced tab, select the Reset button to reset Internet Explorer's settings to the defaults
4. In the Security tab, select Reset All Zones to Default level
5. In the Content tab, select Clear SSL state
6. Select Apply
7. Re-test

I hope these suggestions help, please let us know either way.

Thanks,

I just started seeing this same problem today myself.  Fusion360 worked normally yesterday.  No system changes since last run.  I've tried everything above this post with no luck.

Hi @bryan_mcnatt,

I am sorry to hear this! Just to check are you on a Windows or a Mac? Also, do you have a proxy network in place, or did your network change between the two days where it worked and didn't work?

Thanks,

Finally fixed it.  Deleted "LoginState.xml" per something I found online.  I thought I had done that already and maybe I had.  Anyway, this time it seems to have worked.
