Unable to select PCB component to move

I love the PCB preview and can see a lot of value in it for my product design.

However, I am unable to move PCB components in Fusion. I even followed the example (http://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=GUID-DC988988-45C8-4D38-B469-B2B56A136402 ) and I cannot select a component using the learning example.

I also tried while selecting move PCB components to filter the Select > Selection Filters with checkboxes enabled and disabled but it made no difference.

Any suggestions/workarounds?

Hi bloukingfisher,

Thank you for your participation on the forum and for your kind comments with the PCB integration with Fusion360.

Please try the following steps:

Please right clicking the PCB on the timeline and select Edit:

Right Click the PCB and select the EDIT optionRight Click the PCB and select the EDIT option

From the PCB Workspace Menu select the option "Move PCB Components"

Select the option "Move Components" from the PCB WorkspaceSelect the option "Move Components" from the PCB Workspace

Now select the component you wish to move.  In the "MOVE PCB COMPONENTS" dialog box you can type in the values , or click and drag the part directly.

Click on FINISH PCB once all parts have been moved to their desired position.

NOTE: Fusion360 gives you the ability to modify the component position, I strongly recommend that you pull the design back into EAGLE, and correct any DRC violations.  (Design Rule Checker).

Have a GREAT DAY!!

Thank you, I realize in the initial step I didn't select the PCB from the timeline to edit, but went to the Create > Create PCB (after I read some post that the menu is the same as "edit PCB"). I now realize that it is trying to create a new PCB so the components of the first PCB is not accessible in the new PCB (which doesn't actually even exist).
