Unable to select components in the graphics window

I have an issue where I cannot select any geometry at all in the graphics area, on a project shared with me two different ways. It was shared with me a year and a half ago as a shared project, and then after I completed my work it was unshared. More recently, I was invited into a team, managing the exact same project - and also reshared with me the old way.

Others having access either way, or both ways, do not have this problem.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled again and I used Fusion Cleaner, and reinstalled. Same every time.

The only way I can select solids is to do the following:

1) Download f3Z

2) Reupload in a personal project folder

3) Start a new design

4) Insert a derive of all the components

5) Break the links

When I do this, a glacier would win a race against this model rebuilding, but I can select geometry.

How can I beat this?

Hi @Fully_Defined ,

Thanks for raising this issue on Autodesk community forum.

At the initial evaluation, We need to check whether the component is configured as unselectable. Please refer the article at  - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/In-...

hope this is helpful. Please let us know if you have any further query on this.

Thanks,

Although I appreciate your reply, I have already determined it is an issue with my legacy account and not with shared projects or teams.

HERE'S THE SOLUTION:

Step 1) Click your account avatar in the top right corner

Step 2) Click "Preferences"

Step 3) Click the "Restore Defaults" button in the bottom left corner of the preferences window.

The corrupted preferences travel with the account, so it explains why the problem existed on two different computers on two different operating systems, but did not exist with a different account on either computer.

SOLVED.
