Unable to renew Startup license

Hello,

My startup license expired yesterday, and despite renewing several times - and logging in and out/restarting etc, I still get a message on starting F360, and the red "expired" box in the top corner.

I saw there were previous issues in January, is this still the case?

Thanks

Will

Hello again Will,

Did you download Fusion 360 from Mac App Store or from fusion360.autodesk.com?

No, I'm on Windows 7.  I did a clean reinstall this week from the DL link on my autodesk account page.

Hi,

I think I'm having the same problem. I am a student and have been using Fusion for 3 years for "playing" with my 3D printer. Now when I open the app it says the license has expired and a prompt only lets me select paid licences. As I have read in the Fusion 360 page, the free licence for students is still available, now as an anual "startup" subscrition. Therefore I supose this might be an issue. My version of Fusion 360 is the one offered in the MAC App Store. I leave some screenshots below.

Thanks,

Alejandro

Hello @Anonymous

You are correct - Apple does not permit us to offer Startup or Student option on Mac App Store.

Please use the instructions below to switch to a Startup subscription:

  1. Uninstall the version you downloaded from Mac App Store
  2. Click on “Download Free Trial” on the following page: http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/try-buy
  3. Loging using the same Fusion 360 ID that you used for the Mac App Store version
  4. Follow the instructions below to get a Startup subscription:

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-activate-start-up-or-educational-licensing-for-Fusion-360.html

Once you login, the product should be in Startup suscription.

Please remember to check out the Fusion360 YouTube channel for cool tips/tricks to help you get started:

Hello @Anonymous,

Sorry for the trouble. Will get you going shortly, could you please clarify a couple of things?

  • Have you been on a Startup subscription for sometime or switching from a trial? Could you please include screenshots of the error you are seeing?
  • Have you tried the following instructions?

Sorry for not replying sooner. it seems since I placed that post it seems
the I was able to get it working. though i can't quite remember if it was
the startup option or if forgot to select it and accidentally did the
educational selection.

but to answer your questions: .

I was on the startup option since last year and this was my first renewal
of that option.

yes, I did follow the instructions on that link many times before
sending out that post.

I have a trial version on the Mac, downloaded, I believe, from Autodesk rather than from the App Store.  I recently got an email inviting me to renew.  When I try to renew, folllowing the instructions in the email, everything apppears to go well, but nothing happens to the term.  It will still expire in 6 days. Should I wait until it expires and then try again?

If it needs your intervention my Autodesk ID is graham.p@softsim.com. My email is graplows@virginmedia.com.

I believe I qualify for the Startup option.

Thanks in advance.

As reported previously I can still not renew my licence and have not  heard back from you since Saturday last week.

Help.  I expire in 4 days and am still logging in and working.

I have just received another email from "The Fusion 360 Team" which suggests, again, that I renew, but it doesn't work.
