Unable to open a f3.z file from the email link to download a fusion 360 model

Hi Folks,
I am not able to download an f3.z file from the email link from fusion 360.  I can download file with an f3.d extension and modify it in Fusion 360. I have tried changing the default program for an extension file f3.z  but it didn't solve the problem. Please find the response from windows after clicking the download link.
I have tried sending a link to one of my colleagues and they were able to download the file with f3.z file. It seems like there is an issue with my settings in Windows 7.

Thanks for your suggestions and support,
Agile

The suffix is f3z, right? Renaming is the wrong approach. You have to upload it through the data browser. Same procedure like you would import a step file.

@lichtzeichenanlage
Thanks a lot for your reply, I did not rename the file.
The file has some external components integrated into the assembly. As per the instructions went to the "Autodesk hub" and press the download button which will send an email to download the file.  I was about to do it a couple of days ago without any hassle and the issue started a few days back. I am not aware of the root cause and want to resolve it so as to reuse the same component for another project.

Have you tried to redo it? Perhaps a server glitch.

Error: Fusion 360 could not open LFC-200 Overall assembly_2019-04-01 (6).f3z because it is not a supported file type.

It looks like you browser downloads the files from the server ...

... and after that to open it. Fusion 360 is not able to open assemblies. Assemblies must first be uploaded to the cloud.

Unless your browser downloaded the file, just open Fusion 360 and than upload the file in your new project.
