Unable to Loft

I am trying to loft from a guitar neck to a patch to create a neck transition. Unfortunately, my rails do not seem to be working. I am continuing to get that the rail is not touching the profile no matter what I do. I tried solid and surface loft between the body (neck mirror) and the patch. I tried projecting a sketch of the section of the neck (as in the picture) and then using project -> intersect between the sketch to connect them to a point. I'm getting this on both sides for the rails and frankly do not know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

The rails are not connected to the profiles. That is visible with the bare eye!
The rails and profiles use way too many spline points and, as a result, have bad curvature.

what is the solution?

I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I projected the corners of the profile and did a piont to point move of the rails to each of the projected points. Help please.

If you want to learn how to do this right, I would start completely from scratch.

Can you explain in detail what you are trying to achieve?

I am not just talking about the loft but the overall goal of this design.

It is what's called a through neck guitar where everything (neck and body) is milled from a single piece of stock. I have my existing model (the Kingfisher) in the file. What needs to happen is that since there is no bolt on neck, you make a transition between the neck and the body. That is the objective of this loft - to connect the neck to the body. I have sliced the neck where the transition needs to begin and the patch is a cut in the body where we want the transition to join.

Here is a centerline loft that doesn't functionally work but should give you and idea of what I am trying to do

I've created a geometry similar to what you might want. If you go through the timeline, maybe you can see how it was done. Edit the loft features and look at all the settings.
