Unable to Join/combine all pieces in my object

I went into my little project to make a change but I couldnt do anything to the individual component unless I went in to the timeline and UNJOINED.

At the timeline, I deleted the last operation which was combine.

Made the changes...but when I went back and selected everything to combine...the "OK" is grayed out...

What am I doing wrong?

Hard to say without a screencast or a file.  File/Export/Archive files (*.f3d)

You cannot combine because the model you supplied is already one body.

Don't think you've grasped the idea of the timeline and going back and editing rather than just modifying your part at the end of the timeline.

You only need one sketch and 3 extrudes and a fillet for the whole part. I guess your first sketch is a scan of some sort?

This is your timeline.

And this is all that's needed! See screencast and attached file. If you need to make changes just edit the features in the timeline.

Yes i thought i needed a template and figured out a way to import a sketch. I am humbled beyond words. What has taken me hours upon hours of pain, videos and reading for many months and revisiting this training model, you have recreated in mins.  It is a wondrous program and i am envious you can SEE and have f360-vision!

….The parts were already combined……it seems even now i can click on any part and still perform an extrusion or other modification……

the only reason i thought i had to combine everything was to cement everything place so it couldnt be moved.

i suppose thats why building with constraints is so much more desirable.

i have a waaays to go…thank you for helping me….

@smithblazen  Don't feel too bad, you don't know what you don't know!  You might want to try some of the tutorials in the help, start with the sketch tutorials here.
