Unable to insert new components

Hi all,

I am trying to put together assembly of components to check the fitment however I am unable to insert components I get the following error massage, “Please save this design before inserting components”.

Things I have tried:

1.   I have tried inserting other files every component I try to insert I get the same error massage.
2.  I have tried saving the file & also making it a Milestone with no luck.
3.  I have closed down Fusion 360 & rebooted pc.
4.   I have given it a day before trying again.
5.   There are no pending Fusion updates.

I was just wondering if there could be a permission issue?

Hi,

If you want to insert several files from Datapanel into a new project, you must first save the new project.

Thanks I was only trying to insert one part howver saving the empty project first then inserting worked Thx.
