Unable to copy face

I'm trying to copy the selected face (blue) and move/paste it to the side of the object so I can create another part with it. When I use the move/copy command, it doesn't copy. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

There is a potential gap in the developed sketch that may appear but I got away with it.  Take a look at the Screencast.  You will notice, in the sketch two points on the Upper right side of the sketch that develop for some reason.  You can also do this with by creating an offset surface of zero thickness, move it and the thicken it to the desire thickness.

You've got that part in a Component, right? Right? Seriously: right?

Start a new, empty Component, start a new Sketch within it, Project the desired surface or edges into that new Sketch, finish the Sketch, and then Move the new Component.

Now create your new part from that.

Or...

Just start a new, empty Component, and make it right in the same place, using that existing surface as a guide as required.
