1. svg insert then selecting file does not do anything

2. svg insert in a new sketch shows the boundary box but now preview of the svg drawing file

Hi Claas,

Regarding item 1, when you select Insert SVG,

a) If you don't already have an active sketch, a new one is activated and it is waiting for you to select a plane to place the sketch on before the "Ok" command can be selected.  If you move your mouse in the graphics canvas, you should see a tooltip that asks you to select a plane or planar face.  Are you not seeing this?

b) If you are already in a sketch, then the "Ok" button lights up.

What do you think would make it more discoverable that the command is waiting for you to select a sketch plane?

best regards,

Sanjay Jayabal.

1. True I overlooked and was in the habit of other applications. However what I think contributed to my observation was I did not see the deign center and thus did not see the origin planes.

The dialog itself does not indicate anything. So maybe it might be good to also have a select origin value there so it is clear.

2. I think you miss understood me. What point is it to import SVG and have a scale function when I cannot see what I am importing and placing in Fusion.

The screen refresh rate in Fusion Sketch is really a serious issues and thus I tried to minimize manual move and adjust tasks after I placed the SVG file.

Thus I hoped during the import phase after I selected the file I would see a preview of the SVG file.

I know I mentioned it in other threads, but Fusions slow sketch engine screen refresh rate is becoming a dramatic issue in this application.

Today it rendered Fusion non-operational and I went back to Rhino.
