turning off constraints

I design free form sketches for furniture. Many curves, no straight lines. I am working now and constraints, I think coincident, are anchoring my sketch points.

I use constraints for square parts yet do not use for curves. can i turn off constraints?

Automatic sketch constrains can be prevented, not turned off, by holding down the Ctrl or Command key while pick sketch points.
