Turn off grid in sketch

Have searched the forum including new ideas....

Although I've turned off the grid in every place I can find, every time I start a sketch the grid pops up; so I have to go to the sketch pallet and uncheck 'grid'. Is there any way to make unchecking the grid persistent? Or some other secret handshake to prevent the grid from showing?

TIA for any info.

Fred

Dear Fred,

Thank you for your question.

I understand that you'd like to 'permanently' turn off Grid in Sketch environment. Currently, the Grid setting in the Sketch Palette is valid for the session you're currently in.

Would you like to post your idea in the Fusion 360 IdeaStation? At the same time, I'll have our development team to review this and see if there's any workaround.

Inchul Lee,

I don't need to turn it off permanently; there are times when it is useful. Would like the last choice (grid on or off) to be remembered across sessions. My old eyes get a bit confused when there is too much going on in the graphics space, in part because there is no way (or very limited ways) to influence line weights, colors, etc.

I like to use the forum first as a way to gage interest in issues. If, I'm the only one who considers this a problem, then it's not worth your or my efforts to pursue. The fact that this is not already on the IdeaStation, and users have not added comments one way or the other probably means it is not of great consequence.

Appreciate your time and response.

Fred

Dear Fred,

Thank you for your reply.

I think it's a very good suggestion. The last setting shoud stay across sessions.

The good news is that our Fusion 360 team is reviewing this functionality for future implementation. Your patience would be appreciated as we're working on this.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi lederer,

Thanks for asking. We have improved the behavior that Fusion remembers the last setting (sketch grid on or off) across sessions now.

If you have any questions or comments for Fusion 360, please feel free to post them on the forum.

Best Regards,

The Fusion 360 IdeaStation is the best place to track feature enhancments.

From the above discussion, its unclear if a feature enhancement request was created. You can toggle the sketch grid on/off in the sketch palette and this setting will persist between sketches. Does that help?

Thanks,
