Turn-Off ghosting while entering Sculpt mode

Hello,

I wanted to know, Can we turn off ghosting of Design while entering the sculpt mode. Well, My workflow is - I will create several Sphere in design workspace and create a centre point from construct toolbar and use sculpt mode to create some design around using reference of sphere created in design workspace. I Know, I can create a sphere in sculpt workspace but that sphere could not create a centre point from construct. And also I will be using some parametric features on Sphere.

So can I turn-off the ghosting of objects while entering sculpt so I will be easier to take reference of sphere body?

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Not only I will be using a sphere, but I will also be using different objects for parametric features.

Anyway, can I turn off ghosting of objects while entering sculpt for enabling me to take reference to the objects from Design?

I found a way to Turn-off ghosting while entering the sculpt mode.

We need to turn-off the Capture design history, So we have access to all workspace with ghosting. One of my friend, Expert Elite Abhijit shared this tip with me.

But working without capturing history is quite difficult. Ghosting has nothing to do with design, as it is just a visual setting. I wish we could have ghosting control same as opacity control.

@sanket223.patil - that is a fairly extreme way to just turn off Sculpt/Form ghosting - you will lose all the advantages of parametric history.  Instead, there is already a preference just for this ghosting:

@jeff_strater  Thank you for your reply.

I have used this preference but doesn't affect the ghosting while entering the sculpt mode.

OK, then, no, there is no way to control that.  The ghosting control is the only thing that exists, and it refers to the ghosting of bodies that are produced from the T-Spline itself.

Jeff-I think there might be a bug related to that setting.  it works most of the time for me, but I have on occasion had the ghosted body show up when I go back to edit a t-spline.  the only way i found around it when that happens was to turn off the visibility of the brep body before beginning to edit the tspline.  If I'm able o get it to happen again I'll post it.

Hi, I am experiencing this exact issue today - my ghost bodies are so numerous that I can barely see my T-Spline objects. Has a better solution been found or implemented? Thanks!
