Trying to move a sketch into a component fails, gets a warning

Hey all, I've started a design where I've made some mockup sketches of what the eventual parts would be and I want to move them into components so I can move them around and just check the overall geometry/clearance of everything. Whenever I try and move the sketches I get a "Detect some position features may result downstream features fail after restructure" warning and the sketches won't move. I would be fine with dealing with some feature failures and redoing those but I don't want to redo the sketches as I plan to use them for the final extruded parts.

I've tried the following:

Performing the move with the timeline marker at the end

Moving the new components to either right before or right after the sketch in the timeline

Performing the move with the timeline marker right after the sketch/component

Does anyone know if there's any way to either force this to work or to copy the sketch? Any info is appreciated

You can copy and paste sketch entities from one sketch to another.

To do this,

1. Edit the sketch that contains the geometry you would like to copy

2. Select the sketch entities to copy (or CTRL + A, Command +A to select all)

3. Right click and select Copy (CTRL + C, Command + C)

4. Finish the sketch

5. Activate the desired component to place the sketch in

6. Create a New sketch

7. Right click and select Paste (CTRL + V, Command + V).

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
