Trying to create sheet metal pattern for a gramophone horn.

I've created a simple solid body using loft which resembles a gramophone horn.

Now I'm stuck trying to somehow convert this into sheet metal.

My goal is to get the pattern of one of the segments as it is flattened out so I can cut this from either sheet metal or even mdf, bend it accordingly and then either spot weld or glue together he segments again to create the horn.

My problem is I don't know how to convert it into sheet metal.

Tried press/pull, shell to give it a thickness. Even tried using surface instead, but got nowhere.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I couldn't get a the lofted body to behave, but was able to get a flat pattern from a very similar body created with a sweep.

This is one way to convert it to a

sheet metal body and create a flat pattern or unfold (flatten ) it.

This is great - thank you.

So all that was missing is a flat section of the segment in order to convert it to sheet metal.

Makes perfect sense, once you showed it 🙂

That little flat section is crucial, but I wish we would not need it.
