Trying to combine and offset surfaces

I'm new to Fusion 360 and only have a working knowledge of solids and surfaces so far. I imported the attached aircraft fuselage, which came in as 12 surfaces. I would like to combine them into a single hollow body and then create a second offset surface body inside to essentially end up with a two-wall monocoque. I do not care whether the walls have material thickness or not. I have tried every combination of thickening, combining, offsetting, stitching, shelling, etc., but always end up getting an error before all of the pieces are put together. If the only way to do this is to extend my knowledge into meshes and splines, I'll continue down that journey, but I would love to get some input on whether there is a way to do it with surfaces first. Thanks for any help.

Hi @slc0705 ,

I have tried making offset surface of 0.01 cm inside and it works, if you go beyond giving value 0.01 inside there will be error due to overlapping of some surfaces.  I am attaching the model which consist of two bodies and two surfaces which has 0.01 cm offset. I have turned on capture design history, which helps you to know about the approach to achieve the offset and stich to work. Here is the image showing both the inside surface and outside.

Fusion doesn't play nice with this one, easy to stitch to solid, but curve combs are jagged.

Quicker to start over, with Fusion articles.

Might help....

Thanks for taking the time to get that working and leaving your solution with the history. It taught me a lot.
