Trouble importing dwg files

Please take a look at the attached picture. Every time I import a dwg file it looks like this. Not sure how to turn that view off. Any help would be appreciated.

What is your end goal?

Do you merely want to bring in the 3D solid from AutoCAD file?

No, I do know how to do that. I just want to bring in the 2d file without all the points on it, and it has none of the dimensions that should be on it. If I bring it up in another cad software it looks like this attached. Thanks for responding.

Why?

Fusion is a 3D modeling software.  What is your intent for the 2D drawing?
Perhaps A360 Viewer would solve your need.

Hi huntermaxjr,

Thanks for reporting the issue. For now, Fusion will not import any dimensions in the dwg files into Fusion sketch. But you should be able to make those points not shown by a sketch option on the sketch palette, called "Show Points".

Show Points option.png

Please be noted that this option will affect all the sketch geometries. So when "Show Points" is turned OFF, many points including line endpoints and circle centers, spline fit points will ALL not be shown.

We are internally discussing the solution of making the imported DXF/DWG files not to show endpoints by default, maybe you will see a cleaner imported dwg/dxf files after import in future Fusion updates.

Thanks,

Frank

Thanks Frank, but the only way I could find to bring the sketch palette up was to start a sketch. Then it did not have any effect on my imported drawing when I turned off the show points.

        Thanks Max
