Trouble getting anything to fully constrain

Good afternoon,

I am workmen on a model and cannot get any of the sketches to fully constrain. The design is simple so I decided to start from scratch once again and I cannot get a simple rectangle to fully constrain. I am missing something. I know some of you when you post solutions, make it look like there is a feature that helps identify the issues present, is there a command for this or version of software that will help me with this? I have drawn other objects and was able to go back through my sketches and get them to cooperate fairly easily but it seems like my machine just is not cooperating. Now my computer did die last week and I had to purchase another so this is a new install, is there possibly a setting somewhere I have off?

As usual any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I opened up your supplied model and the only sketch in it is fully constrained.  Did you attach the wrong file?

There is a Text Command to find unconstrained entities in your sketch but it is a lot of typing just to find an unconstrained entity.  Take a look at the Screencast.  I used your supplied sketch which I had to delete a dimension to make it unconstrained.

I was thinking it was constrained but on my computer all of the lines are still blue not black.

I am using a different color scheme so my fully constrained sketches are white.  What did you see in the browser icon?  Leave the sketch and return and give us a screen capture.

I also just ran the text command you showed me and it responded: Sketch is not checking fully constrained! Nothing is highlighted and I still have blue lines.

Download the file you posted to your hard drive.  Open it and see if it is constrained or not.  I have done it twice now.  If it remains not constrained, post a screen capture or Screencast showing what you are seeing.

I downloaded it to my hard drive and re-opened it. Still seeing blue lines which has me wondering if there is a setting I have off? I am trying to do some stress testing on the completed model and it won't allow it stating it is not fully constrained.

Did you finish the sketch and then Edit it again?  Take a look at my Screencast.

Fully constraining in the analysis environment has nothing to do with fully constrained sketches.

Attach the file with your analysis set-up here.

I’ve seen this, and Test these conditions with click drag, if you are fully constrained, but still blue, move on.

Might help....
