Tricky rounded corner

Hi everyone! Recent convert from Sketchup so please go easy on me. I've been trying to figure out how to make this fillet but I don't want it to affect the circular cutout. I want to make my model in Fusion (image 1) look like what I had done in Sketchup (image 2). Does anyone know a tool I could use to do this or know of a tutorial on how to do something like this? Thank you in advance!

Hi @jeff_arend,

Thanks for posting to the Fusion 360 Forum.

Can I have your Fusion 360 file?

From the image, I assume to model this fillet, required a surface model and need to split the solid body with it.

If you can share your file I can check and suggest you the best solution.

Thanks,

What would be the best way to share the file with you? Should I just export it and upload the file or is there an easier way?

Here you go. Thanks for helping with this. This is only my second day using Fusion and I'm still pretty lost.

Can you Attach the *.stl from SketchUp too?

Here is the .stl file. It looks super weird in CAD though. Something happens when moving from Sketchup to Fusion. I have attached the file though in case you want to mess with it.

Are you interested in learning how too model this properly, or are you happy just slapping together some stuff for 3D printing?

Both are valid answers.

In case you are interested in learning proper modeling techniques I might be tempted.

While this is for a 3D printing project, I'm still interested in learning the correct way to model this. I'd prefer to learn how to do the modeling properly as I'm guessing doing it the right way will lessen the chance of issues when trying to print. I would also like to learn the proper way to model this as I'm guessing it would be more efficient, accurate, and would speed up my future modeling. Any help you can offer to do this properly is greatly appreciated! 👍

Are you attempting to reproduce a design similar to something that already exists in the real world?

If yes, can you post image of the similar real world object?

In no, can you explain what the true Design Intent is for this geometry?

Can you post image of the SketchUp geometry from top view?

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. We have family visiting from out of town and I haven't had time to mess with this little project.

Basically this is a sub woofer design I'm making based on a studio monitor. The studio monitor has a special type of flare to the port that helps to eliminate port turbulence (see photos).

I'm designing this because there is a YouTuber that has a competition (for fun, no prizes) where he is taking different 12" sub woofer design submissions and 3D printing them on a 1/6th scale and measuring the output (also scaled) and comparing the way different designs perform.

I wanted to implement this studio monitor design as a sub woofer and submit it to see how it performs.  I have made another attempt trying to use two forms but I cant figure out how to fill it in (See Photo, Don't laugh).

I want to ensure that it prints out properly and doesn't have a void and that all of it is sealed up nicely. I know I'm probably not doing this right. I'm still very new to Fusion 360. I have used Blender and Sketchup for making 3D models before but not for 3D printing. I would like to learn the proper way to do this as I plan on trying other projects with Fusion in the future.

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help!

This is the geometry you're looking for.

If @g-andresen would have changed just one simple setting in the loft dialogue, hed arrived at the correct solution:
