Transferring a sketch accurately

A picture is best for explaining:

I want to use that blue sketch in exactly the same place on the profile at the back which can't be seen in this image. The U shape and circle will be cut into one profile and extruded out of the other profile, to create an interlocking piece. To fit together, I need to ensure that the sketch ends up in the exact same place.

I am aware that I can copy and paste - but this won't guarantee it landing in the same position and it would also need to be flipped.

Since both profiles are exactly the same, is there a way to project the sketch on the other profile?

With prism shapes I can use the Extrude dialog to extrude from the other side, but because this object is curved, I cannot.

Is the body you have a Revolve or a Loft? You could revolve\loft the sketch as 2 new bodies inside the body you have then extrude off the ends then combine with the the body you have, that way you only have one sketch.

Edit. As you want a cavity at one end you'd create a sketch on the end face of one of the new bodies and project in the edges to use for an extrude cut.

Ok thank you Mark, that was a good idea and it worked well.

I had to do multiple revolves with New Body, one for each profile, otherwise they automatically rejoined and the sketch lines would not appear on the other side.

@lindsay.fowler I didn't have time to mock something up yesterday to experiment with but I just made a test design and found you don't need to make extra sketches as long as you do the cut extrude first.

Here's a screencast showing the workflow using the faces of the revolve as the profiles in the extrudes. I found a bug I'll report where modifying the revolved bodies doesn't update the extrudes.
