Tolerances in Part

Can I put dimension tolerances in the part and then retrieve into the 2D drawing - or are dimension tolerances limited to 2D annotation in drawing?

Nope. I don't think this is possible in Fusion 360 at the moment. I used this frequently  when working in SW.

TrippyLighting is correct, this (Drawing dimension inheriting design tolerance value/format) isn't currently possible, however as you probably already know, you can double-click a dimension in the 2D Drawing and then edit the dim to add the desired tolerance.
