If you make a cut through 2 components then edit the feature and make the extrude only cut one of the components it still shows in the timeline as cutting both components. For example if you activate the component that no longer has the extrude feature cutting it the extrude still shows in the timeline. Also the colour highlighting still shows both component colours on the feature.

 

Componet1 is active but the hole feature is one in component2! File#s attached.

Thanks Mark. Great catch. It's now logged as a bug. The history stream should let go of these references after editing the Hole.
