Hello,

I am very new here and have been following many video tutorials to learn Fusion 360 for 3D printing.

I am trying to design a replacement for a broken component of an iPad holder.

I am designing it with a shaft that will screw into another component.

I've created an 8mm hole in the body and an 8mm cylinder.  I created M8 threads on the external face of the cylinder and the internal face of the hole.  However, the threads are being created peak-against-peak instead of peak-in-trough.

I'm attaching a sectional analysis.  Does this have anything to do with the fact that the shaft was created by extruding upward?  I couldn't find anything that allows me to flip the threads.

Did you do as individual Components?

File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here.

Given that 3D printing isn't very precise - did you make allowance for clearance?
