Thin Extrude

I drew a simple "C" shape and want to create a Thin Extrusion.  I click on the Extrude button and don;t get any "type" displayed to select Thin Extrude.  Is there some setting that needs to be changed to  get the "type" to display?

In your Extrude dialog box, look for the indicated selection.

I don't have two icons. Only the one that you show on the left. {Sorry that I can't add a screen shot. I made a jpg, but I can't past it on this reply.}

You say C shaped...Is this text? You can Export your Fusion 360 file as a .f3d archive and attach to your original post

After 35 years of excellent proficiency with Pro-E and Solidworks, I am finding the "differences" in Fusion to be a real challenge. So is the "camera" that you are showing part of Fusion, or is it just a PC snap shot? I do have a jpg in my explorer folder, but nothing happens when I try to paste.
I looked to see if I can add (customize) the icon menu, but don't see any "Thin" icon.
Thanks for your help, but this really shouldn't be this difficult.

Not sure what is the Solid Extrude>Blue?
I see lots of comments regarding a "camera".
(But nowhere do I see the menu screen shot shown below .)
I used the Win/Ctrl/s to copy the Project screen and save it as a JPG.
From my explorer folder, I can open and view the file..... it looks fine.
But when come back to these replies neither "paste" from the menu, nor Ctrl/V does anything with the jpg.
(But both methods work with text.)
To add a jpg, do I need to do a new Post instead of a quick reply?

You do know that you can Edit your own post by clicking on the vertical three dots in the right upper corner of any of your posts.  There used to be a time limit on when you could do this but it seems to have been remove.  So no more misspelled words please!😁

Apparently I was in the wrong forum.  Somehow I have switched to a different blog and now the detail/icon menu has showed up.

So here is my JPG.  I select the create extrude command and don't get any dialog menu to pick either a solid or thin.

If when you press the Extrude icon, you do not see the indicated dialog box, it may be off screen.  Closing Fusion 360 and restarting will normally bring it back.

If you still do not see it, then you may want to consider the "Repair Option" in the Fusion 360 Service Utility.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Hi,

Maybe the menu is outside the active display.

No,  I have not been able to resolve the "No Extrude Type" issue.  As I stated previously, the "type" option does not show up.  As you can see below, when I select Extrude, I only get the solid option.  I was able to work around the basic design by creating a closed sketch, but Thin should have worked.  I am using the Home Hobbyist version, so I was wondering if the Thin option isn't part of the package.

you keep posting a picture of the toolbar.  That is not where Thin Extrude lives.  It is an option on the Extrude dialog, the one that comes up when you click on the Extrude item in the toolbar.

As far as I know, Thin Extrude is included with the Hobbyist version of Fusion.

please click the Extrude icon, and capture (either video or screen capture) what the screen looks like after that.

Thanks.... Found it.  Don't know how I missed it previously.  Perhaps it had been off of the screen, or maybe I just didn't notice the "thin" icon.  Regardless, mystery solved.
