Thicken not working

Hi all,
Good day to you. This is my first 3d model using fusion 360 and i am not able to proceed any further. I tried modelling a water bottle using sculpt and patch workflow. Once i modeled all the features, i am not able to add wall thickness of 1mm to the bottle and i get an error. I am not able to identify any errors to create the thickness. I Tried stitching it to a full solid body and add shell to design the mouth of the bottle, that doesn't work as well .

The file can be downloaded in the below link

Please help. Correct me if my workflow is wrong .Thanks in advance

Your workflow is not wrong, but you need to decide what you need the results to be.  Fusions offset/shell/thicken algorithm is a "precise" offset.  Meaning:  it will fail unless it can guarantee exact uniform thickness at all points along the surfaces selected.  I can't say for certain, but I suspect that areas like this:

Are the problem.  Generating a precise offset from this geometry will be a challenge, I suspect.

Do you need a precise level of thickness in this model?  Is it OK if some areas are thicker than others?  Sometimes, choosing the right place in the design to do the offset can help.  For instance, before fillets are applied are a good choice.  In the extreme, you can go all the way back to just after the Form feature, and generate an internal surface there:

but that method creates an internal face which does not have all the details of the outer face:

and I don't know if that is acceptable.

Others may have better suggestions.

Dear Jeff,

Thank you for you reply. That really helped me fix the issues for the model. I was able to thicken the bottle cap for 0.6mm wall thickness, which was needed. but regarding the bottle ,when i select the face, fusion 360 crashes and i am not able to add thickness. Even shell command doesn't work after stitching the whole body.

The updated model is attached in this link. I believe I have a powerful system and it can handle this operation(system spec attached).

system.JPGIs Is the crash due to heavy function which cannot be handled by fusion 360?

Sorry i am not able to delete the post. i just Found an error on the inner side of the model.

Il try to fix it before  i try thicken command again.
