I have looked through the forums and searched for an answer but I can't seem to find anything to describe exactly the problem I'm running into.
I have tried this several times and still have the same result. I feel like it is something simple I'm just not understanding... hopefully.
1. Create new sketch.
2. Create center rectangle.
3. Import canvas and use the profile of the rectangle to perfectly scale the image.
4. Delete rectangle.
5. Begin tracing canvas with fit point splines.
6. Try to trim and/or break intersecting splines.
7. Get error "the profile reference is lost"
I think this is referring to the profile created by the original rectangle used to help scale the canvas but I can't seem to find a way to break the reference between the two.
I have found a clumsy workaround by clicking on one of the points nearest to the spline intersection to be trimmed, right-clicking and selecting delete coincidence. Then I can trim the spline, but this doesn't seem like the right way to do this... Turning off capture design history usually helps too, but this removes the 'Edit Sketch' option.
I'm out of ideas, what's the right way to do this so it doesn't fight me so much?
