Nice challenge man. I mean it's not a complicated shape, but figuring out the most feature efficient concept is fun. I got 1 sketch and 8 features. Check your email!
Hmmm, well - I think you beat my "solution". Add one to the doughnut tab I owe you.
This will be interesting to see what others come up with.
Awwww. I don't think this is a critical bit of your challenge, so it isn't any kind of spoiler, but I should have used the Setback Corner Type instead of Rolling Ball. Just makes it look more accurate to typical dice.

Wow! Really? By how many steps?
Anyway, this is fun. I think it looks a bit more realistic now, with tighter spot spacing and larger fillets. More what my mind's eye remembers from the craps table.
Trippy is probably going to come along and surface it all in one magic step. It will still be a fail if he doesn't make it light up.

That is his job.
I am going to regret this.
6 features in the timeline.
2 User parameters
I like @chrisplyler's glassy cube better though.
6? SIX!?!?!?!?!? Sheesh!
That includes spots on the back sides also?
Yep. But I already said that I will regret it. Chuckling now, probably ducking later to avoid flying objects 😉
Gotta be honest... I was expecting you to do opaque sides, and glass lense dots, with a light source inside that would shine out through the dots like a disco ball (disco die?).
Can't let you 11's have all the fun.
1 sketch + 6 modeling features.

So 7 features in the timeline. Removed text to not spoil the challenge😉

Hey! That's an obvious instance of Material/Appearance Plagiarism!
HAHA, Was wondering if you'd say something, was going to change colours but you know couldn't be bothered. Transparency was so you could see my dots. Think of it as flattery 😀
Think of it as you making royalty payments to me. 😉
6 Features, no sketch... but rather different than of @TrippyLighting ... Peter how on earth did you made yours???

I can’t check it now, but I think it might be possible to make it in 5 features.

No sketch at all? I had assumed that there should be no Primitives, Base Features or forms, as those allow multiple actions to be "hidden" within a single timeline event.
Peter should not publicly reveal how he made his until such time as TCW announces the end of the challenge. Otherwise I would have been asking to see all the models everyone has done. Because I'm eager to see all the different methods!

Be sure to send me *.f3d rather than mere image file.
It is very interesting to see the different approaches (all good) that various people have submitted so far.
I will of course walk through the histories of some of the examples. Based on private comments, I am not going to announce names or a "winner", this is not a contest - it is a challenge. But if you see your work presented in a month and you want to claim credit - that is up to you. I think once I show the entries, as a group we might even be able to combine techniques to come up with "one best way" (or decide that someone has really "nailed it").
I am almost embarrassed to video my "solution", but I guess it does have some redeeming value.
Keep them coming.
